Diaper Need Awareness Week is here—and ShareBaby is showing up all week long. 💜💙
This week, we’re bringing Baltimore together to talk about diaper need, celebrate the power of community, and remind everyone that Basics Aren’t Basic.
Here’s what we have planned:
📺 Monday: Catch ShareBaby on WMAR’s Midday Maryland at noon! Our Executive Director, Nadya Dutchin, will talk about diaper need in Baltimore and why this work matters.
💜 Wednesday: Wear purple or blue for Purple for Purpose. Take a photo, tag @ShareBaby, and use #PurpleForPurpose to help make diaper need visible.
💬 Thursday: Join us virtually from 4–5 p.m. for Basics Aren’t Basic: Understanding Diaper Insecurity. We’ll be joined by Dr. Megan Smith from the National Diaper Bank Network and Sharonda Barnes of The Village Within. Register through the link in our bio.
🏛️ Also Thursday: We’ll be sharing a special thank-you to Mayor Brandon Scott and the City of Baltimore for recognizing Diaper Need Awareness Week with an official proclamation.
💙 Looking ahead: Save the date for our ShareBaby Open House on Saturday, October 3. Come tour our warehouse, wrap diapers, meet our team, and see how essentials reach Baltimore families.
Follow along, share the message, and show up however you can. Baltimore families are counting on all of us.

They don’t call themselves the Golden Girls for nothing. 💜
They come through, get to work, keep us laughing, and help make sure families across Baltimore have the essentials they need.
For National Grandparents Day, we asked a few of our favorite Golden Girls what they love most about being grandparents — and, of course, we had to ask the ShareBaby team to share a little wisdom or a favorite memory from their own grandparents too.
Because if there’s one thing grandparents are going to do, it’s love you, feed you, tell you the truth, and make sure you leave with something “just in case.” 😂
Happy Grandparents Day to the grandparents, grandparent figures, and all the elders who keep the love, lessons, and family stories going. We appreciate you more than you know.
Next Thursday: let’s talk about diaper need.

Diapers are one of those things that should be simple.
But for many parents, buying enough diapers can mean having to stretch an already-tight budget even further. It can mean choosing between diapers, food, rent, or keeping the lights on.
We’ll be joined by Dr. Megan Smith from the National Diaper Bank Network and Sharonda Barnes, Founder of The Village Within. ShareBaby Executive Director Nadya Dutchin will lead the conversation.
Come listen, learn, and be part of the conversation.
Warehouse Wednesday 📦
Did you know our donation bins never close? Two bins sit right outside our warehouse doors, available 24/7 — drop off anytime, day or night, doesn't matter if we're open.
Our warehouse team comes out, checks the bins, and brings everything inside. Fred walked us through it today — onesies, feminine products, whatever gets dropped off, it all gets sorted and finds its way to a family right here in Baltimore.
Somebody drives by, drops something off, and it ends up exactly where it needs to be.

Labor Day is about honoring the workers whose efforts build and strengthen our communities, and today, we want to honor a different kind of labor: the volunteers and community partners who show up, again and again, to help ShareBaby serve Baltimore families.
Whether you’re sorting donations, packing supplies, or helping our community partners on pickup day, your time and effort are work — and it matters. This organization simply doesn’t run without you.
So today, we say thank you. Thank you for the hours, the heart, and the hands you bring to this mission. Baltimore families feel the impact of your labor every single day.
Happy Labor Day from all of us at ShareBaby! 💜
Warehouse Wednesday 🚛
Two trucks. 45 pallets. 7,800 bundles. 392,000 individual diapers. All rolling into ShareBaby today.
It’s one thing to see the number. It’s another to watch it actually happen — pallet after pallet coming off the truck, straight into the warehouse.
From here, our volunteers take over — wrapping, folding, sorting, getting everything packaged up.
So when our partners come through on pickup Wednesdays, they’re not sorting through boxes, they’re grabbing what’s ready and getting straight back to the families who need them.
Two trucks today. Countless families ahead. That’s the whole engine — trucks, volunteers, partners, all moving together.
